    Education and Organization Key to Building a Strong Society: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai

    Raipur, February 22, 2026 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the two-day 80th General Assembly of the Chhattisgarh Manwa Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj organized in village Champa of Balodabazar district. At the beginning of the program, he paid homage by observing two minutes of silence on the death anniversary of freedom fighter and social reformer Dr. Khubchand Baghel and offered floral tributes to the eminent personalities of the society. The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed with a garland at this occasion.

    Describing the Manwa Kurmi Samaj as a hardworking, organized, and a society with an advanced farming tradition, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the society’s contribution has been significant to the state’s progress. Congratulating the 80th General Assembly, he said that such events promote goodwill, coordination, and positive decisions within the society, benefiting the entire state and the country. He mentioned that it was his good fortune to participate in the program organized in Champa, the native village of Revenue and Higher Education Minister Shri Tankram Verma.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that education is the strongest foundation for building a strong society. Appreciating the society’s efforts to connect both sons and daughters with education, he said that an educated society becomes a self-reliant and progressive society. He also lauded the efforts to promote women’s self-employment, raise awareness against drug abuse among youth, and implement social reforms.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government has worked with full commitment to fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees. He informed that 1.8 million Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses have been completed in the state. This year, more than 14.1 million metric tons of paddy have been procured from 2.524 million farmers at the support price, and an interim amount of approximately Rs 10,000 crore will be provided to farmers before Holi. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than Rs 15,000 crore has been disbursed to 7 million women so far.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a new picture of development is now visible in the Bastar region. He stated that the government is working firmly towards the complete eradication of Naxalism by March 2026, in line with the resolve of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister. Development works have been accelerated in about 400 villages through the Niyad Nellnar Yojana.

    On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a community hall in village Nardaha and Rs 25 lakh for a community hall in Balodabazar.

    Addressing the program, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state has achieved remarkable development in the last two years, and several public welfare schemes for farmers, women, and youth have been effectively implemented.

    At the assembly, the Central President of the society, Shri Khods Ram Verma, provided information about the important social reform decisions taken by the society. The program was attended by Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, along with a large number of society officials, women, youth, and fellow community members.
