Patna, February 22: BJP MP Shambhu Sharan Patel unleashed a scathing attack on Congress leaders during the India AI Impact Summit, accusing them of deliberately tarnishing the nation’s global reputation. Speaking at the event, Patel addressed multiple flashpoints, including Congress’s disruptive protests, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s firm stance on infiltrators, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s allegations of discrimination, and Bihar’s law and order situation amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s criticism of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
Patel didn’t mince words about the Congress antics. ‘Congress workers disgraced the country at the AI Summit where global leaders had gathered,’ he declared. ‘If they had something to say, they could have used the platform provided. Instead, they stripped off their T-shirts in protest, exposing their true character. Congress preaches empty nationalism but undermines the nation’s honor at every opportunity.’
He emphasized that such summits represent the entire country, not any single party. ‘No condemnation of their actions is enough,’ Patel asserted, highlighting how these events showcase India’s technological prowess to the world.
Turning to Amit Shah’s call for a ‘ghuspeth mukt Bharat’ (infiltrator-free India), Patel vowed, ‘Illegal infiltrators will be removed not just from voter lists but from the country itself. The paperwork is underway.’ He expressed affection for West Bengal, stating, ‘The BJP’s soul resides in Bengal, a state loved by all Indians.’ Dismissing Mamata Banerjee’s claims, he added, ‘She’s losing the elections and venting frustrations before defeat.’
On Bihar’s law and order, Patel defended the NDA government robustly. ‘We never compromise on law and order. Criminals will face consequences. Under RJD rule, it was jungle raj, chaos everywhere—even the High Court had to call it out. BJP and NDA prioritize strong governance in Bihar.’
Patel’s remarks underscore the intensifying political rhetoric ahead of key elections, positioning BJP as the guardian of national pride and security while portraying opposition as obstructive and divisive. As debates rage, these exchanges highlight deep partisan divides on critical issues like immigration, state governance, and India’s international image.
