New Delhi witnessed a fierce political exchange as BJP senior leader RP Singh condemned the Youth Congress protest at the prestigious AI Summit. Labeling it a deliberate conspiracy against India’s interests, Singh pointed fingers directly at Rahul Gandhi for orchestrating the disruption.
In an exclusive conversation, Singh drew stark parallels between the Youth Congress antics and the infamous protests led by Umar Khalid during Donald Trump’s 2020 India visit. ‘Just like Khalid timed his demonstrations to tarnish India’s image on the global stage amid Trump’s presence, the Youth Congress chose the AI Summit—attended by 20 world leaders and delegates from over 100 nations—to stage their drama,’ he asserted.
Singh emphasized that such actions were not isolated incidents. ‘Rahul Gandhi has a history of statements and moves that make headlines in Pakistani media, consistently undermining India’s global standing,’ he added. The BJP leader highlighted how these protests aim to defame the nation at critical international forums.
Turning to ally Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks, Singh noted growing bipartisan consensus against Congress tactics. ‘Even Akhilesh and his associates recognize that this was not in the country’s interest,’ he said.
Singh also praised Home Minister Amit Shah’s resolute stance on national security. ‘Shah has eradicated Naxalism and now vows to deport infiltrators. His commitments are always fulfilled,’ Singh declared, underscoring BJP’s unwavering resolve.
The controversy underscores deepening political divides ahead of key elections, with accusations flying over patriotism and national pride.
