In a brazen daylight attack, a 40-year-old driver was gunned down by masked assailants in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district on Sunday morning. The incident unfolded near Dharmpur Mor under Narayanpur police station limits, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Furkan Ansari, a resident of Dharmpur village, had just arrived at a roadside eatery around 9 AM for his routine breakfast. Three helmeted men on an Apache motorcycle stormed the spot, unleashing a barrage of bullets directly at his face. To amplify the terror, they fired shots into the air before speeding away.

Chaos erupted as locals rushed the critically wounded man to Jamtara Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police swiftly arrived at the scene, recovering three spent shells. The body was sent for postmortem as intensified raids scour the area for clues.

Furkan’s family and villagers gathered in grief and fury, questioning police vigilance amid rising lawlessness. Authorities suspect personal enmity but are probing all angles, including old rivalries. This chilling execution-style killing has heightened fears in the region, with residents demanding swift justice and better security measures.
