New Delhi’s fight against drug trafficking intensified on February 21 as police arrested two key suspects from Trilokpuri, unraveling a local supply chain linked to banned substances. The operation stemmed from the interrogation and call detail analysis of prime accused Ameen Khan, already in custody.

Investigators identified 27-year-old Asif and 42-year-old Ikrar, both residents of Trilokpuri, as Ameen’s direct accomplices. These men were actively distributing seized contraband smack in neighborhood areas, feeding a dangerous local network.

During intense questioning, both confessed to procuring smack from Ameen and supplying it across local spots. Shockingly, they were also wanted in a prior case registered at Mayur Vihar police station under NDPS Act sections 21, 61, and 85, with proceedings already underway to declare them proclaimed offenders.

This latest crackdown brings the total arrests in the syndicate to five. Delhi Police remains vigilant, probing deeper into upstream suppliers, downstream contacts, and the broader smuggling routes. Officers emphasize zero tolerance, vowing sustained operations to dismantle such networks completely.

As investigations continue, authorities anticipate more revelations that could expose the full extent of this illicit trade plaguing the capital’s underbelly.
