Jaipur witnessed a major update in its electoral framework as the final voter list was released on Saturday following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. In a significant cleanup, more than 31 lakh names have been removed from the rolls, bringing the total number of eligible voters to 5,15,19,929.
The Election Commission revealed that the list as of October 27, 2025, had 5,46,56,215 voters. During the SIR, 41,84,891 names were not included in the draft list released on December 16, 2025, which stood at 5,04,71,324 voters.
Post-draft revisions saw the addition of 12,91,365 new voters and deletion of 2,42,760 names. The final tally marks a net decrease of 3,136,286 voters compared to October 2025.
Breaking down the demographics, the final list includes 2,69,57,881 male voters, 2,45,61,486 female voters, and 562 transgender voters. This revision resulted in a 2.08% increase overall, with districts like Jaipur (3.45%), Phalodi (3.22%), and Bharatpur (2.78%) showing notable growth.
Gender ratio improved by 2 points, from 909 to 911. Jaipur led with a 7-point jump, followed by Kota at 6 points, and several others at 4 points. Youth voters aged 18-19 saw a 0.82% rise, with 4,35,061 additions, particularly in Jaipur (1.30%) and Barmer (1.26%).
This comprehensive overhaul ensures a more accurate voter database ahead of future elections, reflecting demographic shifts and enhancing electoral integrity across Rajasthan.
