Mumbai is buzzing as Holi approaches, and Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari has added fuel to the festive fire. With the festival of colors set for March 4, Tiwari, the multifaceted actor, singer, and parliamentarian, dropped his latest track ‘Holriya’ on the Mridul Music YouTube channel this Friday. The song captures the infectious spirit of Holi, blending high-energy beats with traditional revelry.
Tiwari shares the screen with Prachi Tehlan, the former netball and basketball athlete turned actress. The duo plays devar and bhabhi, bringing chemistry that has fans hooked from the first note. Within hours of release, the video racked up thousands of views, signaling a potential chart-topper.
What sets ‘Holriya’ apart is its playful nod to political heavyweights. References to PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Lalu Yadav, Pawan Singh, Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua), Tej Pratap, Tejashwi Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and Rekha Gupta weave through the lyrics, making it a cheeky commentary wrapped in celebration. Tiwari’s soulful voice, recorded at Vianet Media Studio, elevates the track.
Behind the scenes, Raunak Raut directed, Suraj Vishwakarma composed the music, Wazir Art handled cinematography, Geeta Yadav produced under Saanvika Films Private Limited, with Surabhi Tiwari and digital partner Global Music Junction rounding out the team.
The Bhojpuri industry is in full swing for Holi. Recent hits include Akshara Singh and Varun Sharma’s ‘Holi Pe Chale Goli’, Nirahua and Amrapali’s ‘Awadh Mein Holi’, Pawan Singh and Mahima Singh’s ‘Satrangi Salwarwa’, and Khesari Lal Yadav with Shilpi Raj’s ‘Holi Paral Par 4 Ke’. Tiwari’s ‘Holriya’ promises to dominate playlists as families gear up for rang-birangi festivities, dancing and feasting in unison.
