New Delhi’s India AI Impact Summit 2026 has shattered expectations, attracting over 500,000 visitors who flocked to witness cutting-edge innovations and engage with global experts. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, addressing a packed press conference, hailed the event as a resounding success that positioned India at the forefront of artificial intelligence.

Vaishnaw detailed how attendees immersed themselves in exhibitions, sparking conversations that bridged continents and ideas. Major AI players from across the globe converged in massive numbers, while startups seized the spotlight to showcase groundbreaking technologies. ‘This journey has been profoundly meaningful and meticulously organized,’ the minister emphasized.

India’s strategic roadmap shone through: first laying the foundation for an indigenous AI stack, then building its layers, and now creating a global platform for dialogue and collaboration. Looking ahead, the AI mission enters its next phase, prioritizing novel models, enhanced computing power, and robust security protocols.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Human AI’—crafted by humans, for humans—gained universal acclaim. Discussions on responsible and ethical AI deepened, drawing in 250,000 students alongside ministers and delegates from nearly every nation, all aligning on this humane approach.

Investment commitments poured in, with over $250 billion pledged for AI infrastructure and nearly $20 billion for deep-tech venture capital. These figures, still climbing, reflect surging global confidence in India’s leadership. Over 70 countries have signed the summit’s final declaration, with expectations of surpassing 80 by closure—all key players on board.

India bolstered AI security through a network of 12 dedicated institutions focused on standards and research. A landmark ‘Pax Silica’ agreement was inked to fortify the semiconductor supply chain and chip manufacturing, nurturing a complete ecosystem at home.

With its vast talent pool and balanced foreign policy, India has cultivated trust worldwide. As the world embraces a new AI era, the nation stands ready to lead, proving its pivotal role on the global stage.
