AHMEDABAD: BJP’s national president Nitin Nabin, on a three-day visit to Gujarat, drew a sharp contrast between his party’s dedicated workers and the opposition’s sporadic presence. Speaking at a reception on Friday at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Nabin urged BJP cadres to stay deeply connected with the public at all times.

‘Our workers are full-time politicians, always among the people, while the opposition consists of part-timers who only emerge during elections,’ he declared. The event saw the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP chief Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy CM Harsh Sanghvi, and other senior leaders.

Nabin emphasized strengthening grassroots presence ahead of 2027 and 2029 elections. ‘Certain forces are rearing their heads again, unconcerned with national security or public welfare, driven purely by self-interest,’ he warned.

Paying homage to Gujarat’s legacy, Nabin bowed to the land that birthed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a global leader. He recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s message of non-violence from this soil and Sardar Patel’s unification of India, calling them sources of pride for every Gujarati.

‘India in the 21st century is advancing while preserving its heritage, thanks to PM Modi’s leadership,’ Nabin said. He praised Amit Shah’s tenure as BJP president for expanding the party and credited workers’ hard work for Gujarat’s development trajectory.

Development schemes have reached villages and towns under BJP governments, he noted, positioning Gujarat as a global guide under Modi’s vision. Chief Minister Patel lauded Nabin’s decades of experience in government and organization, highlighting BJP’s merit-based rise from booth worker to national president.

‘BJP is not just a party but a movement for national service and welfare,’ Patel asserted. State chief Vishwakarma called Nabin’s journey inspirational, underscoring that organization is BJP’s soul and workers its strength.
