Hamirpur MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur unleashed a scathing attack on the Congress party Friday, branding their Youth Congress protest at the India AI Summit in Delhi as a national disgrace. Speaking out against the disruption, Thakur accused the opposition of stooping to petty politics at a time when India is showcasing its technological prowess on the global stage.
The BJP leader highlighted the irony of the Congress’s actions. ‘While the world watches India host this prestigious AI Summit, Congress chooses to sabotage it instead of celebrating our progress,’ Thakur said. He charged that the party’s obsessive opposition to PM Modi and the NDA government has morphed it into an anti-India force, turning a national party into a source of national shame.
Thakur didn’t hold back on Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, claiming Congress prioritizes foreign masters and anti-India agendas over national growth. ‘The world acknowledges India’s tech capabilities, yet Congress resorts to cheap protests to tarnish our image,’ he remarked. This act, he asserted, undermines not just the Modi government but India’s global reputation.
Drawing a pattern, Thakur noted Congress’s history of protests whenever India advances. ‘Their mindset is anti-technology, anti-progress, anti-Modi, and now anti-nation,’ he declared. He questioned if the party aims to scare away foreign investors and weaken India on international forums through such chaos.
The MP called for strong condemnation of these tactics, emphasizing that Congress’s opposition politics have crossed into anarchy. As India strides forward in AI and innovation, Thakur urged unity over disruption, positioning the BJP as the true champion of national pride.
