New Delhi witnessed a momentous occasion at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, where Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic extended hearty congratulations to India for the event’s resounding success. In a glowing tribute, he lauded India’s pioneering strides in artificial intelligence, highlighting the nation’s massive investments in AI infrastructure, data centers, and computing power.
‘Starting off, I want to congratulate India on this highly successful event on such a crucial topic as AI,’ Vucic stated. He noted how AI has surged into mainstream discussions across traditional media and social networks, marking a significant milestone. Despite being a smaller nation, Serbia is following suit with its own ambitious efforts in the field.
The summit, Vucic emphasized, served as an invaluable platform for learning and fostering mutual cooperation. It paves the way for a secure and balanced AI ecosystem while addressing pressing global concerns. He particularly commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring address, which set a visionary tone for the proceedings.
Earlier, PM Modi held bilateral talks with President Vucic, as confirmed by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on social media. The leaders reviewed bilateral ties and explored avenues to deepen them across key sectors.
Discussions covered trade and investment, AI, fintech, education, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people contacts. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues, reaffirming the enduring friendship between India and Serbia, rooted in strong grassroots connections.
Spanning five days, the summit drew participation from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, including nearly 20 heads of state or government and about 45 ministers. Aligned with India’s national vision of ‘Sarva Jan Hitaya, Sarva Jan Sukhaya’ and the global principle of ‘AI for Humanity,’ the event underscores the growing strategic and economic partnership between India and Serbia.
