Ujjain, the spiritual heart of Madhya Pradesh, is embracing digital transformation at its iconic Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple. Devotees from across India and abroad can now secure spots for the sacred Sandhya Aarti and Shayan Aarti through an easy online booking system, making their pilgrimage smoother than ever.
The temple management committee has rolled out this initiative to enhance transparency, efficiency, and devotee convenience. No longer will pilgrims face uncertainty or long queues for these highly sought-after rituals. By digitizing the process, the temple ensures a seamless experience for all visitors.
Bookings open daily at noon for the evening Sandhya Aarti and at 4 PM for the Shayan Aarti on the official website. Each slot costs Rs 250 per devotee, equivalent to the quick darshan fee. It’s strictly first-come, first-served, so devotees are advised to log in promptly.
Entry for Sandhya Aarti is through Gate Number 1, with access closing at 6 PM sharp. For Shayan Aarti, pilgrims must enter by 10 PM. Importantly, regular moving darshan will continue uninterrupted during these times, allowing non-booked devotees to still have their darshan without hassle.
This move aligns with broader digitization efforts in Ujjain, aiming to provide a divine, hassle-free experience. Temple authorities emphasize that the goal is to make every visit memorable, fostering greater accessibility for Lord Mahakal’s blessings.
As word spreads, expect a surge in online bookings, underscoring the temple’s commitment to modernizing traditions while preserving their sanctity.
