In a dominant display at Colombo’s Sinhalese Sports Club, Pakistan crushed Namibia by 102 runs in the T20 World Cup 2026, securing their spot in the Super 8 stage. Sahibzada Farhan’s unbeaten century lit up the innings, propelling Pakistan to a massive 199 for 3 in 20 overs after winning the toss.

Farhan, the opener, smashed 100 not out off just 58 balls, including 11 fours and 4 sixes. His partnerships were crucial: 40 runs with Saim Ayub for the first wicket and a brisk 67 off 42 balls with captain Salman Agha, who scored 38. After losing the third wicket at 118, Farhan teamed up with Shadab Khan for an unbroken 81-run stand off 40 balls, with Shadab adding a quick 36 not out off 22.

Namibia’s chase crumbled spectacularly, folding for 97 in 17.3 overs. Lauren Steenkamp top-scored with 23, followed by Alexander Volschenk’s 20, but no one else reached double figures. Pakistan’s bowlers ran riot, led by Usman Tariq’s 4 for 16 in 3.3 overs and Shadab’s 3 wickets. Salman Mirza and Mohammad Nawaz picked up one each.

This victory confirms Pakistan’s Super 8 lineup: they face New Zealand on February 21, England on 24, and Sri Lanka in their final group clash. The Super 8 groups are set, with India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and West Indies in Group 1, and New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan in Group 2. Farhan’s heroics have ignited hopes for a deep run in the tournament.
