New Delhi witnessed a groundbreaking moment at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 as Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the Waves Creators Corner. This innovative pavilion stands as a fully operational hub showcasing the transformative power of AI within the AVGC-XR ecosystem—encompassing animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality.
Designed to bridge creativity and cutting-edge technology, the pavilion highlights practical applications that are reshaping content creation. During the inauguration, Vaishnaw emphasized its role as a strategic extension of key ministry initiatives like WAVES, WAVES Market, and Create in India Challenge. He toured the expansive setup, engaging with emerging entrepreneurs from the WAVES-X startup cohort and top executives from global giants including Adobe, Netflix, Sony, and Amazon.
Visitors were treated to a spectrum of state-of-the-art AI demonstrations. Highlights included real-time game development tools, a prompt-to-cinema live studio, and an agentic AI-powered newsroom developed by AWS and BharatGen, streamlining automated editorial workflows. Other marvels on display were ServM’s real-time voice cloning for multilingual conversations via the Indus Chat app, a 270-degree AI film screening curated by NFDC, Sony Research India’s age-rejuvenation tech for faces and voices, and Whistling Woods International’s markerless motion capture using DSLRs or iPhones.
The platform will continue to host expert dialogues, filmmaker masterclasses, and technical sessions led by global luminaries throughout the summit. Held at Bharat Mandapam over five days, the event underscores India’s push towards AI democratization.
Earlier on the summit’s second day, Vaishnaw shared visionary insights in an exclusive interview, revealing India’s plans to pioneer a revolutionary AI model for global healthcare. He highlighted the rapid integration of AI in agriculture and health sectors, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of leveraging technology for the benefit of massive populations. This model promises to overhaul entire healthcare ecosystems, setting a new benchmark worldwide.
