New Delhi’s crime landscape shook as police swiftly unraveled the brazen daylight murder of Sahil Solanki in Rohini Sector-17. In a remarkable operation spanning just 48 hours, the Delhi Police Crime Branch nabbed two key suspects linked to the notorious Tillu Tajpuria gang, exposing a web of gang rivalry at the heart of the killing.
The investigation kicked off immediately after the FIR was filed. A dedicated team under Inspectors Man Singh, Arvind Singh, Sunder Gautam, and Neeraj Sharma, supervised by Sandeep Tushir, dove deep into leads. Their relentless pursuit led to two meticulously planned operations that dismantled the perpetrators’ network.
In Operation-I, the ARSC team laid a trap near Narela, Delhi, capturing a Tillu Tajpuria gang member. This suspect confessed to being lured into the gang via Instagram by Himanshu and Mohit, seduced by their flashy lifestyles. On February 14, he rode the motorcycle during the hit, while his accomplices Himanshu and Sonu alias Goni fired the fatal shots at Sahil Solanki.
Operation-II saw the NR-II team comb through CCTV footage and interrogate suspects. Sub-Inspector Balraj’s intel pinpointed hideouts in Samaypur, Rohini, resulting in another arrest. The second accused, originally from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, admitted to falling into bad company, a prior knife attack in January 2025 that landed him in juvenile home, and rejoining crime through Instagram for quick cash.
This double arrest has blown open the case, with police vowing to hunt down the masterminds and remaining gang associates. The swift action sends a strong message against gang violence plaguing the capital, restoring some calm to the terror-stricken Rohini area. Authorities continue raids, ensuring no stone is left unturned in this high-stakes gang war crackdown.
