New Delhi witnessed the second day of CBSE board examinations on Wednesday, with over 8,000 centers across India and abroad conducting tests smoothly. Class 12 students tackled Physical Education, while Class 10 pupils appeared for Home Science amid challenging weather conditions.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established more than 8,000 examination centers nationwide, ensuring heightened security measures. These exams, which kicked off on February 17, commenced at 10:30 AM sharp and are progressing without any hitches, according to board officials.
No disruptions or tensions have been reported from any center. In South Delhi, Class 12 student Devendra Agarwal shared that he left home early due to rain fears, worried about traffic snarls delaying his arrival. Similarly, Vikas from Laxmi Nagar departed at 8:30 AM, citing frequent waterlogging and jams during heavy downpours.
To ease student anxieties, several schools allowed early entry to premises, though main halls opened on schedule. This proactive approach prevented last-minute rushes despite the inclement weather.
CBSE board exams, now in their second day, span 26 countries with over 4.3 million participants—2.5 million in Class 10 and 1.85 million in Class 12. Day one featured Mathematics for Class 10 and Biotechnology for Class 12.
Upcoming papers include Data Science, Beauty & Wellness, and Marketing for Class 10 on February 20, alongside Engineering Graphics, Dance Forms, Horticulture for Class 12 on February 19, and Physics on February 20. Notably, this year introduces on-screen marking (OSM) for Class 12, streamlining evaluations.
Board authorities emphasize that exams are unfolding peacefully, setting a positive tone for the remaining schedule. Students and parents alike are relieved by the glitch-free conduct so far.
