Noida ushered in Wednesday with a dramatic shift in weather, as thick clouds enveloped the National Capital Region (NCR) skyline. Light drizzles greeted residents in several areas, bringing a refreshing touch to the morning air. The combination of changing winds and this mild precipitation has led to a modest improvement in air quality across the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), expect overcast skies throughout the day with chances of intermittent light rain. Temperatures are forecasted to range between a minimum of 11°C and a maximum of 26°C today. Looking ahead, clearer conditions are on the horizon. On February 19, expect mins at 12°C and maxes at 28°C under mostly sunny skies. This pattern holds steady on the 20th with similar readings.

By February 21, minimums nudge up to 13°C while maximums hold at 28°C. The weekend of February 22-23 promises a slight warmup, with highs reaching 29°C and lows around 13°C. After today’s dip, temperatures are set to climb steadily in the coming days.

Air quality remains a mixed bag. Delhi’s Alipur clocks in at 255, Anand Vihar at 285, and Ashok Vihar at 264—all in the poor category. Ayanagar fares better at 179 (moderate), while CRRI Mathura Road stands at 185. Bawana hits a severe 307, Chandni Chowk 286, and DTU 249.

In Ghaziabad, Indirapuram reports 296, Loni a critical 352, Sanjay Nagar 203, and Vasundhara 268. Noida’s Sector-125 is at 275, Sector-62 at 220, Sector-1 at 205, and Sector-116 at 236. These gusty winds and showers have diluted pollutants somewhat, offering temporary relief. However, many spots linger in poor air, and experts warn of fluctuations as temperatures rise.
