In a decisive move against organized crime, Dhanbad police executed a court-ordered attachment and seizure operation on Tuesday at the residence of notorious gangster Prince Khan in Wasseypur. The property, located on Kamer Makhdumi Road, belongs to the fugitive who has been operating a criminal network from abroad for years.
A large police contingent, led by Dhanbad City law and order in-charge Naushad Alam, Bank More SHO Praveen Kumar, and Bhuli OP in-charge Abhinav Kumar, descended on the site. They meticulously searched the premises and removed a shed from the rooftop as part of the seizure process. This action completed a pending portion of an earlier property attachment.
Extra forces were deployed as a precaution to maintain order, and the operation proceeded peacefully despite local foot traffic. Prince Khan, Jharkhand’s most wanted criminal, has evaded capture for over four and a half years, residing in Dubai. Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice at the request of Jharkhand Police due to his involvement in multiple murder, extortion, and organized crime cases.
Even from exile, Khan continues to run his syndicate, frequently claiming responsibility for crimes via social media videos. In recent months, his gang has targeted businessmen in Palamu, Chatra, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad with extortion calls. Despite arresting over 30 associates in the last six months, police say the network remains active.
Authorities are intensifying legal and diplomatic efforts to bring him back. This seizure sends a strong message: no safe havens for criminals, regardless of location. The operation underscores Jharkhand Police’s commitment to dismantling such networks and restoring public safety.
