Bengaluru is set to host a major AI milestone. Bharat1.AI, a leading AI infrastructure firm, announced on Tuesday its plan to build India’s inaugural ‘Humanity-First AI City’ in the city. The project aims to create a massive platform for model training, fine-tuning, and inference, targeting over 10,000 AI researchers by year-end. Central to this is the 500,000 sq ft ‘B1 AI Superpark’ in Sarjapur, partnering with institutions like IIT Kanpur, IISc, and BITS Pilani. The initiative focuses on developing agentic and physical AI in real-world urban settings. Connectivity will reach 400 Gbps to major AI clouds. CEO Umakant Soni emphasized that this city testbed will ensure safe, reliable AI aligned with human values. Meanwhile, the India AI Impact Summit 2026 continues in its second day, hosting global leaders and experts until February 20.
