Ayodhya is gearing up for a historic visit. President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on March 19 to spend around four hours at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex. In a special gesture, she will honor approximately 400 laborers who played a pivotal role in constructing the magnificent Shri Ram Temple.
Nrupendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, shared these details during a media briefing at the Ayodhya Circuit House. He was in town for a two-day meeting to oversee the ongoing development projects.
Misra highlighted the progress on key sites within the complex. The Hutatma Smarak and the temporary Ram Lalla temple are being transformed into permanent memorials. These works are targeted for completion by the end of April, ensuring they stand as enduring tributes while preserving historical significance.
The Ram Katha Sangrahalaya is another highlight. This museum will feature 20 galleries, including a cutting-edge 3D Hanuman gallery. Devotees can immerse themselves in Ram Katha episodes through 3D technology for 12 minutes. Content scripts are in final stages, with limited public access possible from September onwards.
Post the President’s visit, a pass system will regulate entry to various complex areas, enhancing devotee experience amid rapid construction advances. The trust has already celebrated flag-hoisting after temple constructions and now focuses on recognizing artisans and volunteers, with the number potentially exceeding 400.
This visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attendance at the flag-hoisting on November 25, where he offered prayers at the seven temples dedicated to sages like Vashistha, Vishwamitra, and figures like Ahilya, Nishadraj Guh, and Shabari.
