In a major boost to enterprise AI innovation, India’s IT giant Infosys has announced a strategic partnership with U.S.-based AI pioneer Anthropic. The collaboration aims to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions across software, manufacturing, financial services, and telecommunications sectors.

Infosys revealed that its flagship AI platform, Topaz, will integrate seamlessly with Anthropic’s Claude models, including Claude Code. This union promises to automate complex workflows, accelerate software delivery, and unlock agentic AI capabilities tailored for diverse industries.

Kicking off in telecommunications, the partnership establishes a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence. This hub will craft and deploy industry-specific AI agents, with plans to expand into financial services, manufacturing, and software development.

In financial services, AI agents will detect risks, automate compliance reporting, and foster personalized customer interactions. For manufacturing and engineering, Claude will streamline product design and simulations, slashing R&D timelines and enabling engineers to test multiple iterations before production.

Software development teams stand to gain from Claude Code, which aids in writing, testing, and debugging code, propelling developers from design to deployment at unprecedented speeds.

Infosys CEO Salil Parekh emphasized the partnership’s potential: ‘From modernizing financial services with intelligent risk management and compliance to fortifying engineering businesses with AI-driven design and manufacturing, we’re harnessing our combined expertise to accelerate AI value realization for global enterprises.’

Anthropic CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei highlighted the gap between demo AI models and those suited for regulated industries, noting, ‘Bridging that gap demands domain expertise, which Infosys brings in telecom, financial services, and manufacturing.’

This alliance positions both companies at the forefront of enterprise AI transformation, promising tangible efficiencies and innovations across key sectors.
