New Delhi witnessed a significant moment on Tuesday as the Bihar Pavilion was inaugurated at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026. The event, hosted at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, draws global attention to India’s burgeoning AI ecosystem.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, along with ministers Dilip Jaiswal and sports minister Shreyasi Singh, graced the occasion. This showcase highlights Bihar’s ambitions to emerge as a key IT and AI hub in Eastern India. The state is aggressively promoting its ‘Bihar Semiconductor Policy 2026’ and ‘Bihar GCC Policy 2026’ to attract investments from international tech giants.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the summit on February 16, setting the tone for discussions on AI’s role in national progress. On day two, he emphasized integrating science and technology with public welfare, quoting a Sanskrit shloka on the qualities of true intelligence: the desire to listen, attentive hearing, comprehension, reasoning, and decisive action.

The summit features participation from 13 countries including Australia, Japan, Russia, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and several African nations. Over 300 curated pavilions revolve around three core themes: People, Planet, and Prosperity. More than 600 high-potential startups are demonstrating AI models, solutions, and technologies with global impact.

Experts view this convergence as a testament to India’s rapidly expanding AI economy. Bihar’s prominent presence underscores its strategic pivot towards technology-driven growth, positioning the state as a contender in the global semiconductor and AI landscape. As discussions continue, the pavilion serves as a bridge for forging partnerships that could redefine Bihar’s economic future.
