New Delhi witnessed a significant diplomatic arrival today as Estonia’s President Alar Karis landed in the national capital to participate in the prestigious India AI Impact Summit. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Raksha Khadse extended a warm welcome at the airport, marking a key moment in strengthening bilateral ties.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared the news on social media platform X, highlighting the visit’s potential to bolster longstanding India-Estonia relations. Minister Khadse echoed this sentiment, emphasizing how the trip underscores growing collaboration in digital governance, artificial intelligence, and innovation-driven growth.

This comes shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo and Bharat Expo Summit on February 16. In his address, PM Modi celebrated the event as a showcase of India’s AI prowess, Indian talent, and innovative spirit. ‘Together, we will create solutions not just for India but for the world,’ he posted on X, underscoring the summit’s global ambitions.

Adding to the international spotlight, French President Emmanuel Macron has also arrived in Mumbai ahead of his scheduled appearance at the summit on February 19. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis greeted him at the airport. Macron, en route, expressed excitement on X about advancing the strategic partnership between India and France, accompanied by business leaders and experts in economic, industrial, cultural, and digital domains.

The MEA welcomed Macron, noting upcoming bilateral meetings with PM Modi and the launch of the India-France Year of Innovation 2026. This flurry of high-profile visits signals India’s rising stature in global AI and tech diplomacy, promising deeper collaborations that could reshape technological landscapes worldwide.

As world leaders converge, the India AI Impact Summit is poised to drive discussions on ethical AI, digital transformation, and sustainable innovation, positioning India as a frontrunner in the AI revolution.
