In a shocking security breach, three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, fled from an observation home in Jammu’s RS Pura area on Monday evening. The daring escape unfolded around 5:15 PM when the fugitives allegedly assaulted on-duty police personnel, injuring them before bolting from the premises.

Official sources confirmed the identities of the escapees as Karajeet Singh alias Gugga, a local from Doubleharr in RS Pura, and Mohammad Sunaullah and Ehsaan Anwar, both citizens of Pakistan. Jammu Police swiftly registered a case and launched a massive manhunt, deploying special teams to comb through nearby regions.

The facility, managed by the Jammu Social Welfare Department since 1988, houses juvenile offenders and undertrial prisoners under strict supervision. It provides essentials like food, shelter, and counseling sessions aimed at rehabilitation and preventing future legal troubles.

Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene as the inmates overpowered guards in a coordinated attack. Police cordoned off surrounding areas immediately, conducting raids at multiple locations. Investigators are piecing together the sequence of events, with assurances that more details will emerge as the probe deepens.

This incident raises serious questions about the security protocols at such centers, especially with foreign nationals involved. Authorities have vowed to apprehend the fugitives soon, emphasizing round-the-clock operations to restore order and prevent further breaches.
