Mumbai’s latest crime thriller ‘Vadh 2’ has hit the screens with a bang, earning rave reviews from audiences for its gripping storyline and deeply layered characters. Leading the pack is actor Amit, who steps into the shoes of police officer Atit Singh, a role that’s being hailed as a standout performance.
In an exclusive chat, Amit opened up about what makes his character tick. ‘The beauty of this film lies in its realistic portrayal of characters,’ he shared. ‘Atit Singh isn’t one-dimensional; he adapts to every situation, just like we do in real life. His reactions vary based on the circumstances, making him a mirror to human behavior under pressure.’
Delving into his preparation, Amit revealed the intense internal work he put in. ‘I dove deep into Atit’s psyche – how he thinks, what drives him. As a cop, he can’t wear his emotions on his sleeve during interrogations. There’s inner turmoil, but outwardly, he’s the picture of confidence and expertise. That’s the nuance I aimed to capture.’
Working alongside industry veterans elevated the experience for Amit. ‘This project was a masterclass for me,’ he admitted. ‘These seasoned stars, despite their stature, approach every scene with fresh hunger. They fine-tune the smallest details, teaching me that perfection lies in the nuances.’
Amit had special praise for Sanjay Mishra and Jaspal. ‘Sanjay sir would always suggest alternative ways to tackle a scene before rolling. Jaspal sir echoed that – always pushing for better. The set buzzed with improvisation, urging actors to step out of comfort zones. That’s when magic happens on screen.’
As ‘Vadh 2’ continues to captivate, Amit’s insights highlight why this film resonates: authentic performances born from relentless learning and adaptability.
