ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar dismissed concerns over former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s health on Monday, asserting that the PTI founder’s condition is stable. Speaking at the Bar Association in Sheikhupura’s Ferozewala, Tarar revealed the latest medical report submitted to authorities, stating Khan’s one eye retains 70% vision with glasses, while the other is perfectly 6/6.

‘No need to worry,’ Tarar emphasized, after consulting Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan and relevant officials just before his address. This comes amid Supreme Court scrutiny over Khan’s deteriorating eyesight, where lawyers reported only 15% vision in his right eye, prompting a five-doctor team to examine him in Adiala Jail on Sunday. The team checked his eyes, took blood samples, and measured blood pressure.

Tarar simultaneously slammed road blockades in PTI-ruled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling motorway and GT Road closures illegal. ‘Medical updates have been shared with opposition leaders and Khan’s personal doctors,’ he noted. Warning the KP government, he urged PTI leadership to order roads reopened, threatening federal intervention if ignored.

‘Political stability is key to economic recovery,’ Tarar stressed, linking the unrest to broader national challenges. PTI rejected the jail check-up without family or private doctors present, but Tarar’s update aims to quell speculation. As Khan remains incarcerated, this health disclosure fuels ongoing political tensions in Pakistan.
