New Delhi is set to host a landmark event in the world of artificial intelligence as the India AI Impact Summit 2026 kicks off on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a proud announcement on social media platform X, highlighted how this gathering underscores India’s burgeoning prowess in science and technology.
‘This is a matter of immense pride for us that people from around the world are coming to India for the India AI Impact Summit 2026,’ PM Modi posted. ‘It also reflects the capabilities of our youth. This occasion is a testament to our country’s rapid progress in science and technology and its significant contribution to global development.’
The Prime Minister also shared an ancient Sanskrit subhashita to emphasize the nation’s innovative spirit: ‘Dane tapasi shaucham cha vigyanam vinaye naye. Vismayo na hi kartavyo bahuratna vasundhara.’ This verse celebrates the earth’s abundance of talents in charity, austerity, valor, science, humility, and leadership, reminding us that breakthroughs in science and technology should inspire awe but not surprise.
PM Modi will inaugurate the summit at 5 PM on Monday at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Spanning four days from February 16 to 20, this will be the first global AI summit hosted by any developing nation. Over 100 countries will participate through seven working groups, focusing on responsible and inclusive AI under the guiding principles of ‘People, Planet, and Progress.’
The event promises to shape global AI collaboration, positioning India as a leader in ethical AI development. As world leaders and experts converge, expectations are high for groundbreaking discussions that could redefine the future of technology.
This summit not only showcases India’s technical achievements but also its commitment to fostering international partnerships for sustainable AI growth. With the youth at the forefront, India is poised to play a pivotal role in the global AI landscape.
