Agartala, February 15. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha declared on Sunday that India’s youth and students will play a pivotal role in transforming the nation into the world’s third-largest economy by 2030. Speaking at a major tribal students’ conference organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Ravindra Bhawan, Saha emphasized the critical contributions of the 18-35 age group.
‘These young individuals form the backbone of our nation,’ Saha stated firmly. ‘They are central to safeguarding our security, driving socio-economic progress, and advancing infrastructure development.’ He highlighted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas’ is rooted in the immense potential of India’s youth.
The Chief Minister praised the enthusiastic turnout of students at the event, interpreting it as a strong signal of their commitment to Tripura’s prosperous future. He urged greater involvement of student organizations across all state colleges to foster active participation in nation-building.
Reflecting on past challenges, Saha noted that decades of instability had disrupted educational progress in the region. However, since 2014, under PM Modi’s leadership, stability has returned, propelling India from the 11th to the 4th largest global economy. ‘By 2030, we will secure the third spot,’ he confidently predicted.
Saha called on students to embrace social responsibilities, participating in initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and blood donation drives. He stressed the importance of learning artificial intelligence responsibly and innovating to build a knowledge-based nation. The event underscored a renewed sense of optimism and unity among Tripura’s youth, setting the stage for accelerated growth.
