New Delhi is set to make waves at the AI Impact Summit 2026, as the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) announces its participation with a dedicated pavilion themed ‘AI for Inclusive Development.’ This move places skill-building at the heart of India’s ambitious AI journey, promising to showcase how artificial intelligence can empower workforces without displacing jobs.

The summit, hailed as one of the largest AI gatherings in the Global South, will draw global leaders, policymakers, and tech innovators. MSDE’s presence underscores India’s commitment to harnessing AI for equitable growth. At the pavilion, visitors will explore a comprehensive framework built around skilling in AI, skilling with AI, and skilling for AI.

Minister of State for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary welcomed the event, stating, ‘Hosting one of the biggest AI summits in the Global South reflects our resolve to shape a responsible and inclusive AI future. I’m eager to engage with global partners and demonstrate how India is equipping its youth and workforce with AI-ready skills that drive growth for all.’

The ‘Skilling in AI’ section will highlight initiatives like SOAR for AI readiness, new job roles aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework, and short-duration nano-credentials developed in partnership with industry. Interactive demos, micro-learning modules, and live dashboards will illustrate how AI literacy can be democratized across ages and backgrounds, paving the way for AI-enabled careers.

Shifting focus to ‘Skilling with AI,’ the pavilion will demonstrate AI’s transformative role in skill delivery. Tools like the Skill India Assistant will offer personalized career guidance based on qualifications and interests, while recommendation engines in the Skill India Digital Hub tailor course suggestions across sectors. AI-powered monitoring and assessments, including computer vision-based evaluations, promise greater transparency and efficiency in certifications.

Finally, ‘Skilling for AI’ addresses workforce preparation in an AI-boosted economy. Gamified demonstrations will show real-world applications: farmers accessing AI-driven advisories, electricians diagnosing faults via AI apps, construction workers using multilingual AI learning support on-site, and weavers co-creating designs with AI tools. These examples reinforce that AI benefits extend beyond coders to informal and blue-collar sectors, boosting productivity and incomes.

During the summit, MOS Chaudhary will hold engagements with global tech leaders, academia, and industry partners to deepen collaborations on AI skilling and digital inclusion. He is scheduled to visit the MSDE pavilion on February 17 to review installations, interact with young participants, and connect with stakeholders showcasing AI-enabled solutions.
