New Delhi is buzzing with excitement ahead of the high-stakes India-Pakistan T20 World Cup showdown. Political figures from across the nation are rallying behind Team India, sending heartfelt wishes and emphasizing the separation of sports from politics.

BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya from the capital set the tone, wishing the Indian cricket team success while firmly stating that sports and politics must remain distinct arenas. ‘This is about the game, nothing else,’ he declared, expressing full confidence in the players’ abilities to deliver a stellar performance.

In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad highlighted cricket’s role as a matter of national pride. ‘When our players win, it feels like the entire country triumphs,’ he said. Nishad didn’t hold back on Pakistan, criticizing nations that falter in governance and diplomacy, underscoring the deep emotional ties Indians have with their sporting heroes.

Ranchi saw BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev predict a resounding Indian victory, drawing parallels to military triumphs like Operation Sindoor. ‘Pakistan tried to duck this match under international pressure, but our team’s win is inevitable,’ he asserted, fueling the pre-match hype.

Meanwhile, in Patna, BJP leader Anil Sahni organized a special havan at Kulhadiya Complex to invoke blessings from Lord Shiva for Team India’s glory, especially poignant during the sacred month of Sawan.

As the nation unites in anticipation, these voices reflect a collective spirit: cheer for India, play fair, and let the best team prevail on the field.
