New Delhi’s crime landscape just got a bit safer after a daring police operation. The Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested 22-year-old Kuldeep Singh, a key operative of the Kaushal Chaudhary gang, in a high-stakes bust near Dwarka Sector-17. This young gangster was the mastermind behind a chilling murder conspiracy targeting a Burari businessman, and he’s also linked to a massive Rs 5 crore extortion-cum-firing case in Punjab.
Acting on a tip-off about foreign-based gangsters Pawan Shaukeen and Gurdeep alias ‘Pa Ji’ plotting the hit, a team led by Inspector Krishna Kumar swooped in. Under DCP Harsh Indora and ACP Bhagwati Prasad, they cornered Kuldeep at an under-construction market on Nursery Road. A search yielded a PX-30 automatic pistol (7.62 mm), a loaded 7.65 mm pistol, five live cartridges, and a stolen scooter from Uttar Pradesh’s Muradnagar.
Kuldeep’s rap sheet is alarming. Just last year, he was nabbed in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, for firing at Chawla Cloth House and demanding Rs 5 crore ransom. Released on bail in August 2025, he dove right back into crime. Interrogations revealed the gang’s use of encrypted apps for communication, sourcing weapons from Ambala, Haryana, and coordinating with Uttar Pradesh and Punjab networks. He’d already conducted reconnaissance on the Burari target.
This timely intervention foiled what could have been a brutal execution. Police are now hunting down accomplices, with special teams formed to dismantle the syndicate. Kuldeep remains in custody as investigations deepen, exposing the web of interstate gang warfare plaguing the capital.
