Patna, February 14: In a significant move to revitalize his party, Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and president of Jan Shakti Janata Dal, has appointed a new state president for Bihar. The announcement comes as the party seeks to rebuild its organizational structure across the state.

Tej Pratap revealed that the party’s organization had been dormant for quite some time. ‘We have selected Prem as the Bihar state president. His primary responsibility will be to strengthen the party from the ground up,’ he stated during a press interaction in Patna.

The new appointee has been tasked with forming party committees in all assembly constituencies and organizing Tej Pratap’s tours throughout Bihar. This step is aimed at expanding the party’s footprint and mobilizing grassroots support ahead of future electoral battles.

In other developments, Tej Pratap expressed joy over comedian Rajpal Yadav’s bail. ‘It’s great news that Rajpal has been granted bail. Our party extended full support to him. Now, he can celebrate Maha Shivratri with his family,’ he said, wishing him well.

A devout follower of Lord Shiva himself, Tej Pratap mentioned that he would spend the entire next day in worship. ‘I am a devotee of Mahadev, so tomorrow will be dedicated to prayers,’ he added.

Addressing threats against MP Pappu Yadav, Tej Pratap noted that conspiracies are common in politics. ‘People plot against us too. There have been attempts to harm me as well. Leaders always face such challenges,’ he remarked, commenting on Pappu Yadav’s recent bail and urging him to focus on public service now that he’s out of jail.

On the arrest of former IPS officer Amitabh Das, Tej Pratap dismissed his statements as baseless. ‘Amitabh Das makes unfounded remarks. He targeted me with false comments earlier, and now he’s doing the same with Nishant. It’s all without evidence,’ he asserted.

This series of announcements and responses underscores Tej Pratap’s active engagement in party building and political discourse in Bihar, setting the stage for a more robust presence of Jan Shakti Janata Dal in the state’s politics.
