In the glittering world of Bollywood music, few voices have risen as swiftly and captivatingly as Amit Mishra’s. Born on February 15 in Lucknow, this unassuming singer traded commerce textbooks for musical notes, forever changing the soundtrack of Hindi cinema.

Amit’s journey began at Lucknow University, where he pursued a B.Com degree. But his true calling lay at the Bhatkhande Music Institute, where he honed his classical skills. The year 2009 marked his breakthrough on the TV stage with ‘Idea Rocks India’ on Colors channel, securing a top 4 spot that catapulted him into the spotlight.

His Bollywood debut came with the album ‘Eternal Love,’ but it was the soul-stirring ‘Bulleya’ from Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ that sealed his stardom. The track dominated airwaves, earning him his first Filmfare Award, along with Screen and IIFA accolades. Overnight, Amit became the voice everyone craved.

Since then, he’s delivered a string of hits: ‘Manma Emotion Jaage,’ ‘Galti Se Mistake,’ ‘Dil Jashn Bole,’ ‘Sunno Gannpati Bappa Morya,’ and ‘Ishq Majboor.’ His versatility shines beyond Hindi—venturing into Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and even devotional tracks like Shiva bhajans and songs for ’83’ in multiple South Indian languages.

What sets Amit apart is his multi-instrumental prowess. From guitar solos in live shows to his early days with Trishna Band, he commands the stage like a maestro. Today, leading his own singing band, Amit Mishra continues to enchant audiences, proving that passion can turn Lucknow dreams into national anthems.
