KHARAGPUR, West Bengal – BJP leader Dilip Ghosh launched a strong defense of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to farmers during a recent address in Kharagpur. Responding to Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s ‘Annadatta Devo Bhava’ speech, Ghosh emphasized that farmers across India place unwavering trust in Modi to safeguard their interests.

Ghosh recalled the historic moment when the government withdrew the farm laws. ‘The Prime Minister himself admitted that we failed to convince the farmers adequately, and with time running out, the bills were repealed in their best interest,’ he stated. This decision, Ghosh argued, exemplifies Modi’s responsiveness to the farming community’s concerns.

Turning his attention to national security, Ghosh unleashed a scathing attack on Jamaat-e-Islami, accusing the group of consistently opposing India and supporting its partition. ‘Our people are patriots at heart, and sentiments for ‘Vande Mataram’ run deeper than ever,’ he declared to IANS.

On the recent elections in Bangladesh, where BNP emerged victorious, Ghosh urged the new leadership to govern peacefully and propel the nation forward. As a neighboring country, he stressed the importance of stability for regional harmony.

Ghosh didn’t spare the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. He vehemently opposed plans to build a mosque named after Babar in Murshidabad, slamming TMC for indulging in temple-mosque politics. ‘The people of Bengal must choose between development and divisive religious politics,’ he asserted.

With assembly elections on the horizon, political battles in West Bengal are intensifying around themes of development, nationalism, and local issues. A prominent BJP figure and former RSS pracharak, Ghosh continues to be a forceful voice in the state’s political landscape.
