New Delhi’s political corridors are buzzing with praise for a groundbreaking initiative. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has publicly expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rolling out the ‘PM Relief’ scheme. This timely measure promises to revolutionize emergency medical care for road accident victims across India.

In a detailed post on X, formerly Twitter, Gadkari highlighted the scheme’s core strength: providing up to ₹1.5 lakh in cashless treatment. ‘This historic and life-saving decision ensures immediate and dignified medical care for accident victims,’ he wrote. The minister emphasized how it alleviates financial burdens on affected families, allowing them to focus on recovery rather than bills.

The announcement came right after PM Modi inaugurated the ‘Seva Tirth’ office, a hub dedicated to citizen-centric services. Gadkari described the scheme as a shining example of ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’ – treating citizens as gods – and a vital step toward building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ or Developed India.

PM Modi himself took to X to underscore the broader impact. He noted signing files at Seva Tirth to empower the poor, farmers, youth, and women. This isn’t just about accidents; it’s part of a larger vision. The government also doubled the target for ‘Lakhpati Didis’ to 6 crore women entrepreneurs and boosted the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund from ₹1 lakh crore to ₹2 lakh crore. A new ₹10,000 crore Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 was unveiled to fuel innovation.

Experts hail these moves as transformative. Road accidents claim thousands of lives yearly in India, often due to delayed treatment. PM Relief directly tackles this by ensuring golden-hour care without red tape. As Gadkari put it, every precious life gets top priority. With these announcements, Modi’s administration signals unwavering commitment to welfare, infrastructure, and growth. The nation watches as these policies unfold, potentially saving countless lives and boosting economic vitality.
