Approximately ₹10,000 crore will go directly into the accounts of more than 25 lakh farmers.
Raipur, February 11, 2026/A significant decision was taken in the interest of the state’s farmers in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan today. The difference amount at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal will be provided in one installment before the Holi festival to farmers who sell paddy at the support price. Under this decision, an amount of approximately ₹10,000 crore will be directly transferred to the accounts of more than 25 lakh farmers.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the smile of the farmer brothers and sisters of the state is their biggest asset. He said that the government not only procures paddy, but also considers it its duty to ensure fair price for the farmers’ labor and protect their honor. He expressed confidence that this decision will provide economic support to the farmers and increase the joy of the festival.
It is noteworthy that in the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26, 141.04 lakh metric tons of paddy were procured from 25,24,339 farmers of the state. Under the Krishi Unnati Yojana, farmers have been paid more than ₹25,000 crore in the form of paddy price difference in the last two years. With the payment of ₹10,000 crore into the farmers’ accounts before Holi, this amount will increase to more than ₹35,000 crore.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that farmers are the soul of the state and the strong foundation of the economy. The prosperity of the state is ensured by their hard work and sweat. The state government is fully committed to the happiness, honor, and economic empowerment of the farmers.
