New Delhi witnessed a vibrant fusion of devotion and youth energy as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the 10-day ‘Vasantotsav 2026’ Bhajan Clubbing event at Ramjas College, Delhi University on Tuesday. Describing it as a commendable initiative, Gupta highlighted how it bridges bhakti, culture, and the dynamism of young minds on a single platform.

The atmosphere turned profoundly spiritual with a mesmerizing performance by Leela Band, drawing in students, the Chief Minister, Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, and other dignitaries who joined the bhajan renditions. Gupta emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advocacy in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ for connecting youth with cultural roots and devotion. She praised such innovative efforts that echo PM Modi’s view of bhajans and kirtans as the soul of Indian culture.

‘Delhi government’s Vasantotsav 2026 is a significant step in this direction,’ Gupta stated, calling Bhajan Clubbing a novel way to reconnect the younger generation with their rich heritage and spiritual consciousness. ‘Today, Delhi is witnessing a spectacular confluence of devotion, culture, and youthful vigor, where modern expressions blend seamlessly with spiritual experiences,’ she added.

Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra echoed these sentiments, noting that inspired by PM Modi’s push for Indian culture, bhajans, and youth participation, the Delhi government is hosting this special cultural series from February 10 to 19. He positioned it as another meaningful effort to establish Delhi not just as the nation’s capital but as the capital of art and culture.

The festivities continue with Raghav Raja Deen Dayal Upadhyay College hosting a musical presentation on Wednesday. On February 12, India Music Collective will perform at ARSD College, while Sadho Band takes the stage at Shaheed Sukhdev College, promising more enchanting evenings of music and tradition.
