In a major breakthrough against rising mobile snatching incidents, Noida Sector-58 police have arrested a notorious criminal responsible for multiple thefts. Acting on local intelligence and electronic surveillance, officers apprehended Rishabh Dayal alias Rahul, a resident of Mayur Vihar Phase-3 in Delhi, from Ramleela Ground in C-Block, Sector-62.
The suspect was nabbed red-handed, leading to the recovery of two motorcycles used in the crimes—a Splendor Plus and an FZ bike—along with 11 stolen mobile phones and an illegal knife. Investigations reveal that Rishabh targeted unsuspecting pedestrians on his bike, snatching phones at opportune moments before speeding away.
One standout recovery is an iPhone-16 stolen just two days prior from Todd Mall Road in Sector-62, for which a case was already registered at Sector-58 police station. The remaining 10 phones were lifted from various spots across Sectors 62, 63, 05, 24, and other Delhi-NCR areas. Police are now verifying ownership details to return the devices to their rightful owners.
Rishabh’s rap sheet is alarming: over 26 cases in Gautam Buddh Nagar stations including Sectors 20, 24, 58, and Phase-1, involving robbery, attempted murder, Arms Act violations, stolen property possession, and Gangster Act charges. He has been jailed multiple times for these offenses.
Interrogations continue to uncover his accomplices and broader network. Noida police emphasize their commitment to curbing street crimes through vigilant patrolling and tech-driven operations, assuring residents of safer streets ahead.
