Patna, February 10 – Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal unleashed a sharp critique against opposition leaders during a press interaction here, targeting Congress scion Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary antics as blatantly unconstitutional. Speaking to reporters, Jaiswal asserted that Gandhi’s disruptive behavior in the House undermines the dignity of opposition politics and erodes democratic norms.
‘Democracy thrives on constructive opposition, not arrogance,’ Jaiswal declared, urging Gandhi to introspect and mend his ways. He emphasized that such haughtiness has no place in India’s vibrant political landscape, where maturity defines leadership.
Turning to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent warning about societal divisions, Jaiswal accused vested interests of orchestrating a calculated campaign to fracture Hindu unity along caste lines. ‘The public is waking up to this divisive agenda,’ he said, highlighting a growing national awareness against such tactics that have plagued society for decades.
Jaiswal didn’t spare AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, labeling his provocative statements as deliberate attempts to inflame passions and sow discord. ‘Our Constitution and nation are resilient fortresses; these ploys will never succeed,’ he affirmed confidently.
On West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the minister accused her of manufacturing chaos over the Bihar poll snoopergate issue. ‘TMC thugs are brazenly defying law and order, but Bengal’s people are ready to rise against this misrule,’ Jaiswal charged. He predicted Banerjee’s Delhi foray would be more theatrics, even as the Supreme Court recognizes Bihar’s electoral process as transparent.
Finally, commenting on Pakistan’s retreat from boycotting the T20 World Cup match against India, Jaiswal called it a predictable backtrack. ‘Politicizing sports is deplorable; this late wisdom is welcome nonetheless,’ he concluded, advocating for pure sporting spirit.
