New Delhi: In a resounding endorsement of good governance, Maharashtra’s voters have once again showered their blessings on the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the recent district council and panchayat samiti elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated this triumph on social media platform X, declaring that the people of Maharashtra have firmly backed the alliance across both rural and urban landscapes.

PM Modi highlighted the alliance’s stellar performance following successes in municipal and civic polls. ‘The massive mandate in district council elections clearly shows that Maharashtra’s citizens crave efficient administration and a partnership rooted in the state’s proud cultural heritage,’ he posted. He extended heartfelt thanks to the brothers and sisters of Maharashtra and wished every Mahayuti worker success for their tireless grassroots efforts in showcasing the state government’s solid achievements and the NDA’s vision for development.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis echoed the Prime Minister’s sentiments, proclaiming a decisive victory for BJP and Mahayuti in the rural polls. ‘Rural Maharashtra has placed its unwavering trust in us,’ he stated, congratulating the public and party workers. Fadnavis pointed out that in all 12 district panchayats contested, Mahayuti secured power, with BJP emerging as the single largest party. The alliance dominated panchayat samitis too, bagging 410 seats compared to 284 in 2017, and poised to chair nearly 105 out of 125 blocks with full majorities.

This sweep underscores a complete faith in Mahayuti’s leadership, especially as opposition forces appear confined to media narratives rather than public support. From urban corporations to village councils, the electorate has validated the government’s track record. As Maharashtra marches forward, this mandate signals strong continuity in pro-development policies, infrastructure boosts, and cultural preservation initiatives that resonate deeply with the masses.
