Highlighting the revamped law and order scenario, Patel emphasized how Uttar Pradesh has become a national benchmark for security. A balanced approach of firmness and sensitivity has dismantled organized crime and mafia networks. Leveraging modern technology, bolstering police forces, ensuring swift justice, and fostering transparent administration have created a fear-free environment brimming with trust.
This secure backdrop is positioning Uttar Pradesh as India’s top destination for industry, trade, startups, investments, and job creation. The zero-tolerance policy has yielded concrete results: 35 mafias and 94 associates convicted, 2 criminals sentenced to death, 267 neutralized in encounters, 977 detained under NSA, and over ₹4,137 crore in illegal assets seized. UP-112 response time has slashed from 25 minutes 42 seconds to 6 minutes 51 seconds. All 75 districts now have cyber crime stations, ATS arrested 148 terrorists, and 146 illegal foreigners including Rohingyas and Pakistanis were nabbed. Anti-corruption drives saw 999 successful trap operations.
Strengthening the security apparatus post-2017 includes 8 new forensic labs (6 more under construction), over 2.19 lakh police recruitments, 1.58 lakh promotions, and ongoing hiring for 83,122 posts. Police budget surged by 150%. Key prison reforms feature 41,424 homeguard enrollments, 6 new district jails plus Etawah Central Jail, and early release of 1,010 inmates. Judicial access improved with 10 integrated court complexes approved, Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University in Prayagraj, 81 fast-track courts made permanent, 3.60 crore cases settled in lok adalats, and 2,609 legal literacy camps.
Infrastructure leaps were a focal point. All 168 block headquarters connected by double-lane roads, 161 roads totaling 1,410 km completed. Target to strengthen 46,600 km roads by 2025-26, with 28,000 km already renewed. Major inter-state and international routes getting four-lane connectivity, fueling trade, transport, tourism, and investments. The address signals Uttar Pradesh’s confident march towards a developed future.
