New Delhi, February 9 – In a heartfelt interaction with students during the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the pivotal role of tribal communities in India’s progress. Speaking to students from Gujarat, the Prime Minister highlighted how tribal societies have been instrumental in the nation’s advancement and environmental conservation.

PM Modi pointed out that the country’s growth today owes much to the contributions of tribal people. ‘Our environment is preserved because of them,’ he said, praising their deep reverence for nature. He noted that tribal youth are prominently represented in the armed forces, breaking barriers and excelling in various fields.

Referencing the recent triumph of the Indian women’s cricket team at the World Cup, PM Modi specifically mentioned Kranti Gaud from Madhya Pradesh, a tribal daughter who shone brightly. ‘Tribal children are making us proud in sports,’ he added, citing numerous athletes from these communities who have brought glory to the nation.

Shifting focus to aspirations, the Prime Minister advised against living solely for a job. ‘Dream of a life you will shape yourself, not just one for employment,’ he urged. He encouraged blending traditional skills with technology to unlock immense potential.

Recalling his tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister, PM Modi shared initiatives like establishing science schools, universities, and highways in tribal areas to boost education and infrastructure. He also addressed exam stress, reminiscing how past anxieties fade post-exam. ‘Build a habit of writing regularly, not just memorizing,’ he suggested.

To combat stress, PM Modi recommended relaxation, smiling, laughter, and sufficient sleep for fresh ideas. ‘Live for your dreams; let your hard work create the noise of success,’ he motivated. Tribal students from Gujarat showcased cultural arts and a portrait of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, which the PM appreciated warmly.
