In a bold declaration amid escalating tensions in Balochistan, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has announced the successful conclusion of its week-long ‘Operation Herof-2’. The militant group asserts that all its strategic objectives were met during coordinated assaults across multiple cities and towns in the restive province.

The BLA’s official statement highlights simultaneous attacks on security checkpoints, military bases, and urban areas, inflicting what they describe as heavy losses on Pakistani forces. According to reports, this operation spanned over 14 cities, marking it as the largest, most intense, and best-organized military campaign in the group’s history.

Spokesperson Jiyand Baloch claimed that Baloch fighters established temporary control in several locations, holding positions for up to six days and forcing Pakistani troops to retreat. The group boasts of eliminating over 362 enemy personnel, including soldiers from the Pakistani army, Frontier Corps, police, and alleged state-backed militias.

Additionally, 17 Pakistani security personnel were briefly detained and later released, while others face potential trials for alleged war crimes and genocide. The operation’s goals included demonstrating urban combat capabilities, rallying Baloch public support through collective resistance, and directly challenging Pakistan’s dominance in the region.

This development underscores the deepening unrest in Balochistan, where grievances over enforced disappearances, suppression, and violence continue to fuel separatist sentiments. As the BLA hints at future operations, the Pakistani military’s response remains a critical watchpoint in this protracted conflict.
