    Kuala Lumpur erupted in a spectacular celebration of Indian heritage as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed with the grand ‘Selamat Datang Modiji’ event. Over 800 performers synchronized in a mesmerizing five-minute dance routine, showcasing the vibrancy of Indian folk and classical arts under one rhythmic beat. This breathtaking performance not only captivated the audience but also etched a new record in Malaysia’s cultural history.

    Standing alongside his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim, PM Modi expressed profound admiration for the artists’ passion. In a heartfelt social media post, he described the event as a ‘magnificent celebration of Indian culture in Malaysia.’ He extended congratulations to everyone involved, highlighting how the dance presentation became the highlight of the evening at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

    Organized by the Indian diaspora, the event drew thousands of attendees, fostering deeper cultural ties between India and Malaysia. The atmosphere buzzed with warmth and enthusiasm, as 12,000 people, including expatriate Indians and local friends, gathered to honor PM Modi. The Ministry of External Affairs also praised the strong bond between the two leaders, noting the event’s electric energy.

    PM Modi addressed the Indian community, calling them a ‘living bridge’ between the two nations. He emphasized their crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations and shared heritage.
