    La Nusia, Spain – In a stunning display of dominance, 12 Indian boxers have stormed into the finals of the Boxam Elite International 2026 tournament on its final day. Eight women and four men will now battle for gold medals, positioning India at the forefront of this prestigious event.

    Leading the men’s charge is Sachin in the 60kg category, who maintained his impeccable form with another emphatic victory over England’s Jack Dryden. On the women’s side, Olympic medalist Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) secured her spot with a unanimous decision win against Wales’ Rosie Eccles, showcasing her trademark resilience and skill.

    Hosted in La Nusia, the tournament drew over 200 boxers from 20 nations. India leads the finals tally with 12 athletes, followed by Kazakhstan with 11, Ukraine with 5, and hosts Spain with 4. A highlight in the elite women’s 54kg category is the all-Indian final between Preeti and Poonam, guaranteeing a gold for the country.

    In men’s action, Deepak (70kg) delivered a session highlight by stopping Kazakhstan’s World Boxing Cup silver medalist Nurbek Mursali via RSC in the first round. Akash (75kg) and Ankush (80kg) also triumphed over Kazakh opponents in hard-fought semifinals, setting up thrilling gold medal bouts on Saturday.

    The women’s team shone across divisions, with Manju Rani (48kg), Neetu (51kg), Priya (60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), and Naina (80kg) all advancing with convincing wins. Even in setbacks, India’s campaign yielded bronze medals for several boxers who fell in semifinals, including Pranjali Yadav and Kajal (both 65kg), Sanamacha Chanu (75kg), and Mankirat Kaur (80+kg) in women’s events, plus Jadumani Singh (55kg), Mohammad Husamuddin (60kg), and Hitesh Gulia (70kg) in men’s.

    This remarkable performance underscores India’s rising prowess in international boxing, with fans eagerly awaiting a potential medal haul that could redefine the nation’s standing in the sport.
