In a heartwarming display of leadership and compassion, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a special visit to a remote primary school in Banaskantha district. The trip was no ordinary inspection; it was the fulfillment of a personal promise made to a young first-grader named Samya Prajapati.
Last year, during a video interaction with the school’s management committee, the innocent child asked the CM, whom she affectionately called ‘Dada,’ when he would visit their school. Touched by her simplicity, Patel assured her he would come and meet her personally.
True to his word, Patel arrived at PM Uttampura (Dangiya) Anupam Primary School on Saturday. He spent quality time with the students, inquiring about their studies, the school facilities, and overall education system. The highlight was his reunion with Samya, whose face lit up with joy.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Samya shared how her ‘Dada’ remembered her words and turned her dream into reality. She even recited a shloka for him, impressing everyone present. In response, the Chief Minister blessed her, saying, ‘Study hard with focus, grow up to become a collector, and then come meet me.’
Samya confidently promised to do just that. This touching exchange not only inspired the school community but also resonated across the region, showcasing Patel’s approachable demeanor and commitment to children’s future.
The incident highlights the importance of education in rural Gujarat, where leaders like Patel are bridging gaps between governance and grassroots aspirations. As the state pushes for better schooling, such gestures motivate young minds to dream big.
