In a vibrant display of solidarity, a motorcycle rally roared through the streets of Pathalgada in Chatra district to champion the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations. Starting from the block headquarters, the convoy of bikes wound its way through several villages, drawing crowds along the route before culminating at Gandhi Chowk, where it transformed into a powerful public meeting.

Leading the charge were Chandramani Yadav, president of the UGC Support Front, alongside Ashish Dangi and Tirthnath Dangi. The rally’s energy was palpable as participants revved their engines in support of policies they believe will reshape higher education in India.

From Gandhi Chowk, the procession continued its journey, passing through Subhash Chowk, Barwadih, Dumbi, Belhar, Chautha, Navadih, Bajobar, Ichak, Qubba, Angara, Banwara, Singhani, Lemboiya, Tetaria, and Non villages. This extensive route ensured the message reached every corner of the region.

At the Gandhi Chowk gathering, prominent speakers including CPI leader Arjun Kumar, former mukhiya Rajendra Prasad, Vasudev Dangi, Krishna Dangi, Sukhsagar Rana, and Baiju Yadav took the stage. They emphatically stated that the UGC law serves the nation’s interest by eliminating discrimination in university appointments and promotions. ‘The central government must implement this law with full strength,’ they urged, highlighting its benefits for Dalits, minorities, tribals, EWS, and OBC communities.

The crowd erupted in chants and slogans endorsing the UGC Act, underscoring a growing grassroots movement for equitable education policies. This event marks a significant local push amid ongoing national debates on regulatory reforms in academia.

As the rally dispersed, participants expressed optimism that such initiatives would pressure policymakers to prioritize inclusive growth in higher education, fostering a more merit-based and discrimination-free system across India.
