Patna, February 6: In a sharp rebuttal during Bihar’s budget session, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal dismissed opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav’s claims of massive NDA spending to defeat him in elections. Yadav had alleged that the BJP-NDA alliance shelled out 40,000 crore rupees and even transferred 10,000 rupees to women’s bank accounts to sway votes.
Jaiswal countered fiercely, stating that Tejashwi’s own track record is sufficient to ensure his political downfall. He highlighted Yadav’s purchase of a Defense Colony flat for a mere 4.5 lakh rupees, raising eyebrows over the deal. During the RJD regime, Jaiswal recalled, Bihar streets emptied after 6 PM amid rampant kidnappings, murders, and extortion rackets.
‘Demand an apology first for your misdeeds and your parents’ legacies,’ Jaiswal shot back. He questioned Yadav’s moral authority to comment on Bihar’s women, advising him to consult his own mother and sisters before speaking out.
Expanding his attack, Jaiswal targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, whose statements lack gravity. ‘They can’t stomach a man from humble origins leading India as PM,’ he said, suggesting Gandhi stick to foreign jaunts for peace. Jaiswal defended BJP chief JP Nadda’s ‘immature child’ remark about Gandhi, attributing it to his childish conduct and belief that India belongs to his party alone.
The BJP MP condemned Gandhi’s alleged insult to Sikhs by labeling Union Minister Ravneet Bittu a traitor, calling it unbecoming of someone targeting a community with immense sacrifices for the nation. Bihar’s political discourse intensifies as alliances gear up for future battles, with Jaiswal’s barbs underscoring NDA’s confidence.
