Varanasi, February 6: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has unleashed a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party, accusing them of plotting to unleash violence across India through recent Parliament disruptions.
In an exclusive conversation, Tiwari pointed fingers at the opposition’s tactics during the chaotic scenes in Parliament. ‘The opposition pushed women MPs to the forefront, fully aware that any aggression toward PM Modi would provoke a strong response. This is exactly what Rahul Gandhi desires – violence in Parliament to spark nationwide unrest,’ he asserted.
Tiwari questioned the opposition’s intentions sharply: ‘What the opposition members did two days ago in Parliament – do they want to physically harm the Prime Minister?’ He emphasized that Rahul Gandhi and Congress are bitter about Narendra Modi’s rise to power, a position earned by the people’s mandate, not the Gandhi family’s decree.
Shifting focus to governance, the BJP MP highlighted the benefits of allowing budget discussions to proceed uninterrupted. ‘Varanasi is set to connect via bullet train, extending to Siliguri. Seven new rail corridors are in the works, with skill centers and girls’ hostels planned for every district. Rahul Gandhi is sabotaging these positive discussions,’ he said.
Tiwari also praised India’s assertive diplomacy, noting that even the US is agreeing to deals on India’s terms – a point Congress dreads discussing. On a somber note, he expressed grief over a biker’s death in a Janakpuri pothole but blamed the AAP’s decade-long neglect, contrasting it with BJP’s nascent efforts to fix Delhi’s roads after inheriting a mess from Congress and AAP regimes.
