La Nucia, Spain – Indian boxers delivered a powerhouse performance on the third day of the Boxam Elite International 2026 tournament, locking in 19 medals and propelling stars like Neetu and Preeti into the semifinals.

In a dominant display, Neetu (51kg) crushed Canada’s Mackenzie Wright 5:0 to storm into the final four. Preeti (54kg) was equally unstoppable, overpowering Spain’s Maria Gonzalez with relentless pressure to secure a third-round stoppage.

Jadumani Singh (55kg) shone brightly in the men’s category, dismantling Chinese Taipei’s Peng Chia-feng 5:0 and keeping India’s medal hopes alive. Under new head coach Santiago Nieva, the women’s team has now guaranteed 12 medals, while the men have seven podium finishes assured before the semifinals.

Poonam (54kg) added to the tally with a flawless 5:0 victory over Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang. Priya (60kg) and Pranjal (65kg) dominated Spain’s Laura Galano and Czech Republic’s Victoria Jilkova respectively with unanimous decisions. Kajal (65kg) edged out Kazakhstan’s Akbar Ichshanova 4:1 in a gritty battle.

In men’s action, Mohammad Husamuddin (60kg) outclassed Ukraine’s Ali Dahli unanimously, Sachin (60kg) survived a nail-biter 3:2 against Ukraine’s Ader Abduraimov, and Akash (75kg) powered past Spain’s Jose Luis Canero 4:1.

Not all bouts went India’s way. Pawan Bartwal fell 2:3 to England’s Ellis Trobridge in a close contest, and Avinash Jamwal was defeated by Ukraine’s Elvin Aliyev. Still, with 19 medals confirmed, India is poised for a stellar finish at this prestigious event, signaling strong momentum ahead of major international competitions.
